HEALTH TIP: CLEANERS

WHAT IS YOUR CARBON FOOTPRINT?

GNLD's safe bio-degradable Cleaning products replace cupboards full of specialty cleaners. Plus, they're highly concentrated and earth friendly, so you save money and the environment while wiping away your toughest cleaning chores!

BENEFITS:

These products really work!!

Let’s all do our part to save the planet.

WHY GNLD EARTH FRIENDLY CLEANERS?

100% BIODEGRADABLE

The GNLD concept of “biodegradability” requires that all ingredients used in the formulation of any GNLD cleaning product be compatible with nature’s life cycle. This cycle of birth-growth-death-decay-rebirth is basic to our formulating philosophy. Partial biodegradability is not good enough, nor are the so-so cleaning results.

Product #2

LDC (Light Duty Cleaner)

Since LDC is concentrated, for best results dilute before using. Start with 1 part LDC and 5 parts water (5-to-1). This ratio may need to be increased if you desire more suds, and may vary according to water hardness. Begin with 1 part LDC and 3 parts water (3-to-1) in hard water locations. Store mix in a spray bottle. Use as a hand cleaner, make-up remover, jewellery cleaner, or to clean the chrome on cars. Use it in the kitchen and bathroom for paneled walls and filters on stove hoods or any place you have a cleaning need.

USE LDC IN A 3 TO 1 MIXTURE TO CLEAN:

Dirty dishes: Use one “healthy” squirt of LDC under the force of running water to make plenty of bubbles. In hard water, you may need to use a little more. Dishes drain spotless. LDC is mild to your hands. You need no rubber gloves. LDC holds grease in suspension and floats it down the drain, eliminating the use of gritty abrasive cleansers.

Fruits & vegetables: Fill your sink and add 3 to 4 drops of LDC to water. Let the fresh vegetables and fruits soak in this solution for a few minutes. The LDC will suspend all of the crop oils and insecticides in the water. Rinse thoroughly with fresh water, dry and store normally.

Hand cleaner: Before starting housework, rub LDC into your hands like a lotion. It protects your hands so the grease doesn’t get into pores. When you’re ready to clean your hands, squirt some of this mixture into your hands and rub them together to loosen the dirt and grease. Wipe off with towel.

Kitchen: Appliances, refrigerators, stoves: Spray or wipe on with damp cloth, wipe dry. Excellent for cleaning and polishing.

Laundry: Makes hard water soft. Adds penetration power to water so tough grease, tar or wax stains may easily be removed. LDC is often the only chemical that will remove the stains from wash-and-wear fabrics. Spray on stains and wash normally.

OTHER USES:

Hand washables: Use cold water and add 1/2 capful of LDC to sink or tub. Let soak. Rinse well. LDC is effective on nylon, rayon, cotton, polyester and other synthetics, including Lycra® and Spandex®.

Sinks & tubs: If you use LDC, you will never have to use a gritty cleaner again. Use mixing bottle, 3 parts water, 1 part LDC.

Computer/typewriter keys: Turn off computer/typewriter if applicable. Saturate cloth with solution of 1 part LDC, 1 part water. Wring out cloth and wipe off keys, leaving them shiny clean.

Wallpaper removal: Use 3-4 capfuls LDC with 1-1/2 gallons HOT water. Apply with a sponge. Let soak. Scrape off with putty knife.

Weed spraying: Mix 1 capful of LDC in a quart jar with weed killer and spray weeds. The LDC helps to penetrate the ground more deeply and carry weed killer to the roots.

Windows: Use a few drops of LDC mix to 16 fl. oz. of water in a spray bottle.

Vehicles: Add 1/2 cup full-strength to radiator and leave in system. LDC acts as a cleaner and lubricant.

Woodwork & walls: For mild cleaning, use a small amount  of LDC mix on wet sponge. LDC can be used on all washable materials. It will not remove paint unless water alone will remove it. Test painted surfaces with water first.

TESTIMONIES:

Testimony on our Biodegradable cleaning products…great news…
Tonight I tackled a very tough job, I don’t know if anyone of you saw my stainless steel sink in the kitchen here, but it was very dirty from the construction, paint, cement, grout, glue, you name it! I didn’t even think of trying the LDC because I thought the job is too tough for that. So I used an industrial cleaner that my girlfriend uses every day, and had given me, she has a cleaning company, my sink has 3 compartments, right at the first compartment I started to get nausea and feeling ill, the fumes had a pleasant smell but very harsh, I could tell, this stuff is extremely harmful. Actually I can’t believe she thinks those products are very safe. So I tried the LDC in the second compartment, it did a better job, because it does not leave residues and no fumes and I had to work a lot less!!!

We have carpets at our entrance that had several stains. I tried a dry cleaning item I have as well as other cleaners, but they did not work. Then I remembered how GNLD’s Super 10 ‘emulsifies’ dirt. So I got out the spray bottle of it and sprayed it on the stains and rubbed the stains with a rag. To my surprise, the stains were gone! I now use Super 10 all around the house and I find that it shines up the bathroom like no other cleaner I have ever used. Another thing I like about Super 10 is that it is concentrated, easy to store and that you can dilute it to meet your needs.

This story comes to us from Business owners
who care about the environment:

We are the previous owners of La Vita Bakery, Deli & Café in Georgetown, Ontario.  Preserving the environment is a concern for us and should be a concern for every business owner.  We have always used GNLD’s environmentally friendly cleaners at home, and knew that they would surely be strong enough for our industry as well.  So when our Bakery began, we turned to GNLD’s cleaners for our cleaning needs.

La Vita used LDC (Light Duty Compound), for hand washing dishes prior to running them through the sanitizing machine (as required by the Health Department).  We discovered that you don’t need lots of suds in order to cut the grease from our heavily soiled pots and pans!  It does not dry-out the skin on your hands, either!  And because it comes as a concentrate and is mixed 5 parts of water to 1 part of LDC, it is very economical.

The other GNLD cleaning product we used is Super 10 (Heavy Duty Cleaner). We used this for pre-soaking pots and pans (just spray it on and leave it and they always come clean!).  We also used this to clean our bathrooms, stainless steel counter tops, kitchen stove, tables, chairs, sinks and ceramic tile floors.  Super 10 is also used as a glass cleaner – just 3 drops to a 24oz spray water bottle.  It works just like those chemical brands, but healthier for ourselves and for our staff!  It is very economical as well!

We also use the GNLD laundry compound called G-One for washing our rags and cleaning towels. Again, it is very economical as we need far less of it than those other chemical brands.  And there’s no need for liquid fabric softener or dryer sheets! This is because G-One is environmentally friendly, rinses completely away and contains no fillers so there is no static cling! When we had extra greasy loads of towels, we just use some of the Super 10 with the G-One and got great results!

We found that GNLD cleaning products are very economical, versatile, smell great, and did a great job of cleaning our store! We can also breathe easier knowing that we were not sending toxic chemicals ~ and our hard-earned money ~ down the drain!

I use G-One on a regular basis in my front end loading washing machine.  I use the Super 10 (diluted 5-1 or 10-1 as a fabric softener a lot of times too).  The clothes are beautifully washed with no soap residue on them (example: dark clothes don't have soap residue on them).

I use half a scoop to 3/4 of a scoop for all of my clothes (lights, darks, delicates and even hand washables).
